From the perspective of sealing effectiveness, characteristics, structural features, operating conditions, and sealing principles, oil seals can be classified into various forms and names. However, it is customary to refer to the rotating shaft lip-type sealing ring as a sealing ring, and the packing seal and dynamic sealing (typically involving repeated motion) as sealing components.
