The neoprene sealing ring exhibits excellent wear resistance and resistance to non-polar solvents, second only to nitrile rubber and superior to other commonly used plastics. Except for aromatic and halogenated olefins, neoprene remains stable in other non-polar solvents, with only minor swelling observed in its vulcanized rubber. Furthermore, this plastic also boasts excellent sealing performance, second only to butyl rubber and 5 to 6 times better than natural rubber.
